John Wyka founded his firm in the belief that great architecture embodies the human experience. Taking a holistic approach to design, we seek to understand the unique possibilities inherent in every project — the particular qualities of site, light, program, and client that make each commission distinct. Our passion for materiality, light, and detail gives structure and meaning to our work in the physical world.

We pursue a broad range of projects — luxury residential, commercial, civic, and cultural — in the belief that our work in one area continuously informs our work in others. Our clients include private homeowners, the City of Santa Monica, and leading developers including The McGregor Company, The Ratkovich Company, and Simms Development. From a 1,400 sq. ft. Beverly Hills residence to entitlement studies for 650-foot mixed-use towers, the scale changes; the commitment to craft does not.

Principal John Wyka is personally involved in every phase of every project, from the first conversation through construction completion. Every commission begins with a careful discussion of your goals. We then develop a series of design options, examine the advantages and trade-offs of each, and refine through an iterative process until the design is exactly right. We remain engaged through construction to ensure what is built honors what was designed.
